There's plenty to see and do in South Bend. Here are some of the top things to do once you move to the area.

  • Four Winds Field - 501 W South St
    Are you dreaming of long summer evenings spent enjoying America's favorite pastime? Known locally as the Cove, Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium is the home of our local minor league team, the South Bend Cubs. This cozy stadium seats 5,000, so an afternoon or evening spent here will bring back the nostalgia of the small-town baseball experience. Check the website for game schedule and tickets.

  • East Race Waterway - 109 S Niles Ave
    If you're looking for an exciting summer adventure, check out the East Race Waterway, a manmade white water rafting course in downtown South Bend. Originally a Civil War-era channel, East Race was central to early South Bend industry, providing first hydropower and later hydroelectricity. Today it's the only manmade white water rafting course in the Midwest, attracting visitors from all over the region as well as local residents.

  • Potawatomi Zoo - 500 S Greenlawn Ave
    South Bend is proud to be home to Indiana's oldest zoo. Potawatomi Zoo originally opened in 1902 at Leeper Park, although it moved to its current home ten years later. One hundred and twenty years after the zoo's start, Potawatomi Zoo offers visitors 23 acres full of hundreds of different animals. The zoo is always growing and improving, and recently added giraffes and a beautiful giraffe habitat to the list.

  • The History Museum - 808 W Washington St
    If you're shopping for South Bend homes for sale for the first time, one thing to take note of is the pride South Bend residents take in our history and community. You can learn more about South Bend history by visiting the aptly named History Museum, housed in the Oliver Mansion, the home of an important industrial family in South Bend history. Take a house tour of the mansion or visit one of the rotating exhibits on different aspects of local history.

  • South Bend Museum of Art - 120 Doctor M.L.K. Jr Blvd
    South Bend is home to two different art museums, one of which is on the Notre Dame campus. The other is the South Bend Museum of Art, which focuses much of its collection and exhibits on local and regional art. In addition, the museum offers a variety of art classes and events where you can learn to perfect your own art.

  • The Morris Performing Arts Center - 211 N Michigan St
    Yet another facet of South Bend's rich culture and community is the Morris Performing Arts Center. Originally a vaudeville house called the Palace Theatre when it opened in 1922, the Morris Center today hosts a variety of shows and entertainment. Browse their calendar of plays and musicals, ballets, comedians, live music, and performances from the South Bend Symphony.
