Want to support local artists and style up your home? Check out these South Bend stops for stellar artwork.

Are you staging your old home for sale, decorating a new home, or perhaps looking for that perfect piece to commemorate the purchase of your dream home? Art makes a fantastic way to decorate not just your own home, but also a home you're selling, according to our real estate agents. Next time you're in the neighborhood to tour South Bend homes for sale, check out these art galleries and studios where you can go shopping, dream, or even make a little art of your own.

  1. CircaArts Gallery: Located in the trendy Shops at Hill & Colfax in the East Bank Village Neighborhood, CircaArts is an art gallery that prides itself on being sophisticated yet approachable. Inside you'll find a wide variety of art mostly focusing on the arts and crafts style. Choose from wall art such as paintings and decorative tiles to other decorative pieces such as woodwork and pottery. The gallery is located at 528 East Colfax Avenue and is open Wednesday through Sunday with increased hours around the holidays.

  2. Fire Arts, Inc.: Located at 305 East Colfax Avenue in South Bend, Fire Arts, Inc. is a little bit different as it focuses entirely on 3D art. Inside the gallery, which is open five days a week, you'll find the work of sculptors, ceramicists, potters, and jewelers. Fire Arts, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and also supports the exploration of art in the South Bend community with a variety of exhibits and classes.

  3. The Alchemist's Daughters: The base camp of artist A.R. Drew, The Alchemist's Daughters is a studio focused primarily on women. Much of Drew's art, projects, and events, such as her Crown On Initiative, reflect her mental health struggles and her goal to capture and enrich our lives through art. Visit 712 East Jefferson Boulevard in South Bend and browse paintings and gifts, or check out a variety of events ranging from empowering to simply entertaining.

  4. For the Love of Art fair: If your search for beautiful art is a constant, don't forget to check out Sound Bend's popular For the Love of Art fair. This annual event is located inside for comfort and convenience in the South Bend Century Center at 120 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The one-day art fair showcases art of every type and style, all by regional artists from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Kentucky.

There's nothing more satisfying than a beautifully decorated home, especially through the eyes of your potential buyer. Art is a great way to stage a home because it's beautiful and authentic without being too personal, allowing homebuyers to better imagine themselves living in your home. For more suggestions on how to stage a home for sale, contact us today, and one of our agents will help you get started listing your home.
