May is officially Photo Month, so it's time to grab your cameras or your cell phone and head out to your favorite scenic locations. Photo month is an opportunity to celebrate one of the most popular art forms and communication methods. Photography is such a fun hobby, especially when you live in a beautiful area like South Bend.   • The University of Notre Dame's Campus - 220 Main Ave, Notre Dame, IN 46556
    What better place to take photos than on one of the world's most renowned campuses. From the gothic architecture to Notre Dame Stadium, there is no shortage of Instagrammable spots. Perhaps the most noteworthy location is the Word of Life Mural. This 134-foot tall mural is located on the side of the University Hesburgh Library and is situated directly above a beautiful reflection pool. Notre Dame's campus is frequently considered one of America's most beautiful colleges, so it's definitely worth visiting if you haven't before.

  • South Bend River Lights - 340 E Colfax Ave, South Bend, IN 46617
    One of the most awe-inspiring sights in the area can be found downtown on the St. Joseph River. The South Bend River Lights are an interactive light display that creates stunning effects across the water and is truly a sight to see. These light fixtures project a variety of colors onto the river water and frequently change to match holiday seasons or local events. The lights are also interactive and often change colors when people walk by. To get the best view, check out the lights from Seitz Park or the Colfax Bridge.

  • Shiojiri Niwa - 450 N Niles Ave, Mishawaka, IN 46544
    One of the most beautiful places to snap some photos is the Shiojiri Niwa. This traditional 1.3-acre Japanese garden is just a few miles away from Mishawaka homes for sale.
